Specific Animation Work
Below you can find links to specific pages showcasing my work in different aspects of 2D animation.
I Have Tonnes of Work and Now I’m A Magical Girl?!? – University Capstone Project
In a world where magical girls exist to keep the city safe from monsters, a self doubting businessman is fated to replace one of the magical girls and overcome his insecurities in order to save the city.
My final capstone project from my time at AIT, worked on by myself and 8 other students over the course of 7 months. I served in the role as animation director, where I developed an animation production pipeline for ‘Magical Girl’, including file management and naming schemes.
I served as the key-frame animator for the main character ‘Joe’ including breakdowns and in-betweens for some complex shots. Further work included In-between and clean-up work on the character of ‘Drunk Monster’.
The Deep End – University Work
An impatient rogue and his mentor hunt for a lake bound beast…
An animated short created over 12 weeks, The Deep End is the first major piece of animated assignment work I created for my final year at AIT. The characters and story were created from scratch, and cut down from a longer 2 minute script in order make the workload more manageable.
Christmas, Just a Week Away! – Personal Work
Christmas is nearly here, and Ashleigh can’t wait! But are her roommates as excited as she is?
Utilizing existing characters of mine and a viral soundbyte, this project was created over the course of just under 2 weeks from storyboard to final animation to celebrate Christmas, and was a personal challenge just after completing the last trimester of my second year at AIT.
A Murder Of Crows – University Assignment
In dark woods, Death takes flight…
This was my final project for my second year of University, completed in December of 2024.
This project was developed as a group from storyboard to animatic until the animation phase where we each took the completed animatic and animated our own final version.
Meeting The Boss – Character Animation Assignment
A mob boss makes his strict stance clear to a new recruit.
This was my final assignment for my first year at AIT, where we were tasked to design a character and animate them to scene we wrote. I also used this as a chance to flex my voice acting muscles, in order to save some money hiring a professional.
